Electronic Wire | ![]() |
Electronic wire is defined as a conductive material (typically copper) that is drawn down to a specific size and extruds with an insulating material. UL and CSA (Underwriter Labatories Inc., and CSA Candian Standards Association) are two common standards found in electronic connecting wires. Wires are measured in different gauge sizes and are defined by its rated voltage, temperature and flame retardant levels. With the growing concerns in classification of environmental friendly products, wires are required to meet the RoHS requriment to not contain any Lead and Cadium, where halogen Free wires have also been developed. The following are the wire categories A) LF (Lead Free) A) Single Insulation Wire B) Double Insulation Wire C) Shielded Wire
